Work placement
Experience a job
When you do a work placement, you will become part of a workplace and have firsthand experience of a job. Does the job suit you and your ideas of education and jobs? You can use your experiences from the work placement to consider your choice of study.
To find a work placement, it might be a good idea to:
- Make a list of jobs you want to try out
- Look for relevant workplaces in your neighborhood
- Call a company and arrange to come by and chat with them
- Look for exciting opportunities in your own network – for example ask your parents or other people you know
To figure out which week it is possible to attend a work placement at your school, you might ask your teacher.
