Age group 18 to 24 years

If you are not currently active in an educational programme, job or other relevant activity, we will contact you and offer the possibility of counselling, unless you contact us first.

You need a personal education plan which your UU-counsellor (youth guidance counsellor) can help you with. In your personal education plan, you will describe your goals – for example which upper secondary education programme you prefer or the types of jobs that interest you.

Along with your educational guidance counsellor, you will describe which steps are needed for you to reach your goals.

If you change your wishes or goals, you and your UU-counsellor can update the personal education plan. It is a good idea to contact your UU-counsellor if you want to change the plan.

Your UU-counsellor cooperates with the Social Services Administration and the Job Centre. This means that we sometimes collaborate with your social worker and job consultant to find an activity that supports you in reaching the goals in your personal education plan.

UU Copenhagen collaborates with educational institutions and schools, like FGU Hovedstaden (individualized basic education and training in the Capital) and Københavns Kommunes Ungdomsskole (the Youth School in the Municipality of Copenhagen).

This means that we carry out target group assessments for FGU (individualized basic education and training) and STU (special upper secondary education). Moreover, your school will contact us if the school is worried about you dropping out, for instance in case of high levels of absence, or if you do not thrive at school.
